October 1st is Mi’kmaq Treaty Day, a day to honour Mi’kmaq treaties; past, present and future. Today is also the first day of Mi’kmaq History month. We will be sharing one fact with you every day. You will also notice posters all around the school. Please take a moment to check them out.

Join CPA’s SAC! – CPA is looking for 2 grade 10 students to take on the role of grade 10 representatives on the School Advisory Council. You need to commit to one meeting a month. This is an awesome opportunity to learn about governance and it looks great on a resume! If you are interested please leave your name with Mrs. Blight in the main office.
From the Library – There are still lots of students without computer passwords. Please see any of your teachers for this info or drop by the library.
Potential grads are reminded that Bishops is in the house at lunch in room 235 and Kings University rounds out the week by presenting at lunch on Friday in room 235. For all your university visitation needs check out the cork board outside room 235

Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team – There will be a quick but important meeting today at lunch in the gym. The girls’ varsity soccer team plays tonight at 6pm at Mainland Commons versus Citadel. Tomorrow they play at 8pm on our field against Lockview.
Cross Country: There will be a practice today at 3:45 outside the fence of the football field. Out first race is tomorrow at Point Pleasant Park in Halifax. See Mr. Penney in room 241 if you have not yet paid your fees and received your jersey.
Open gym has started up in the HRM gym once again. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. All students are welcome to come and use this free gym time!
Fashion Show – First meeting is moved to NEXT Wednesday at lunch. Everyone welcome.
