Here is your Mi’kmaq History month fact of the day. There are 13 Mi`kmaq communities in Nova Scotia. The closest to us being Bear River, Annapolis Valley, Glooscap, Indian Brook and Millbrook First Nation. Although there are 13 Mi’kmaq communities, many Mi’kmaq people choose to live off-reserve.

Eid Al-Adha celebration is today at room 131 from 11:00 to 12:40.

Astronomy Club – There will be a meeting of the Astronomy Club in room 327 at 12:10 today.

Football players – you are excused from class at 3pm and are to report promptly to the field to get ready for your game at 4:30. Warm up begins at 3:30.

Join CPA’s SAC! – CPA is looking for 2 grade 10 students to take on the role of grade 10 representatives on the School Advisory Council.  You need to commit to one meeting a month.  This is an awesome opportunity to learn about governance and it looks great on a resume! If you are interested please leave your name with Mrs. Blight in the main office.

From the Library – There are still lots of students without computer passwords. Please see any of your teachers for this info or drop by the library.

Open gym has started up in the HRM gym once again. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. All students are welcome to come and use this free gym time!

Fashion Show – First meeting is Wednesday at lunch. Everyone welcome.
