ANNOUNCEMENTS Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Here is your Mi’kmaq History month fact of the day. Traditional transportation for the Mi`kmaq was the wide bottomed canoe. Canoes were between 3-6 meters long, and made of birch bark over a light wooden frame. A small canoe could take a load of several hundred pounds but was light enough for one person to carry.

Congrats to the Girls Varsity Soccer Team yesterday on their big win over Sackville High School. We won 5-3. Amanda Isenor scored twice, Ashely Bryant, Hayley Birrell and Breanna Beumer all netted once. We play again today at 4pm (early dismissal at 3pm) over at the MAINLAND COMMONS!
