GIRLS JV BASKETBALL – The girls are off to a great start with a 3 – 1 record so far.  The season started last week with a win of 63 – 40 over Dartmouth High, followed by a win of 34 -24 over Auburn with the game ball awarded to Kaleigh MacPherson and the hustle award to Riley Ells.

This week they suffered their first loss to JL Ilsley with the game ball awarded to Avery Monahan and the hustle award to Meg Tobin. Last night was another victory for the girls with a 65 – 49 win over Carrefour, game ball went to Victoria Billiard and the hustle award to Lauren Ramey.

You can catch the girls in action this Monday at 6:00 at Citadel High.

MAKE A WISH COMMITTEE: Today at lunch there will be a MAKE A WISH meeting in room 320. This is a new committee at CPA and will involve raising awareness and funds to help grant a wish for a student in the Maritime provinces who is battling a critical illness. Plan to stop in an listen to this new group’s great plans!

Service Learning Group Leaders! There will be a brief but important meeting tomorrow at lunch in Room 132. If you can’t make it, please check in with Ms. Michael

NSSSA – All students interested in attending this year’s provincial NSSSA conference, please come to room 302 for a brief meeting on Friday at lunch. Registration forms are available at the following link (https://nsssa.squarespace.com/events/2015/5/14/taking-charge-2015) or on the bulletin board across from room 342. Forms and cheques made payable to Charles P. Allen High School are due to Ms. McCormick by March 20th.

CSLC 2015 – Any grade 10 or 11 student who is interested in applying to be spirit leader (group leader) at the Canadian Student Leadership Conference next September, please come and see Ms. McCormick in the Nova Scotia Virtual School office. Application forms are due by January 9th.

Potential grads interested in joining the army reserves can meet with a representative in the student exchange area today at lunch.  If you are more interested in the Navy please be aware that a representative will be at CPA next week – Dec 9th at noon.

Yearbook Meeting:  Monday at 3:30 in Room 239.  Pages will be assigned during this meeting.

Christmas Dinner – On Friday, the cafeteria will be having a turkey dinner – mashed potatoes, turkey, vegetables, stuffing, gravy, milk and cheesecake for $7.75. You can pre-order and pre-pay!
