ANNOUNCEMENTS Monday, May 4, 2015

Today – Wednesday at lunch freezies will be sold for $2 each to support relief efforts in Nepal.

As well, there will be a mega Bake Sale on Wednesday.

Wednesday evening, everyone of all ages is invited to a beginner Ashtanga yoga class from 6:00-7:00 pm in the cafetorium. All donations will be given to Red Cross for Nepal disaster relief.

Congratulations to the Model UN team who participated in the John Peters Humphrey Model UN over the weekend at St. Thomas U. in Fredericton. The team represented CPA extremely well both in and out of their committee sessions. The students participating were: Logan Crooks,

Isabelle Carvalho, James Lloyd (Honourable Mention in the SOCHUM committee room on Responsibility to Protect), Noah Hollis (Top Delegate in the ECOSOC committee room on Desertification), Elizabeth Outhit (Top Delegate in the SOCHUM committee room on Responsibility to Protect)

The club will be meeting today after school in room 229. We will be discussing an upcoming trip in November to Montreal. As well, today’s topic of discussion will be the recognition by the UN of the Armenian Genocide. Anyone interested in participating is welcomed to attend.

Grads – Any students who have been accepted to Saint Mary’s University can pick up their registration package in the guidance office.  You can also sign up to have a representative help you pick your courses tomorrow in room 223 (computer lab).

A reminder to students that graduation fees were due on April 24th to Ms. Lowe in guidance (room 242). Grad fees are $60 if you are attending and $15 if you are not attending. Also make sure you bring copies of your scholarship offers into Ms. Lowe if you want them published in the graduation program.

If you want to try-out to be the Class of 2015 Valedictorian, your Valedictorian Nomination Form must be returned to Mr. Milligan by Monday May 11. So far, there is only one candidate!  If you want to try out, see Mr. Milligan ASAP to get a form and details about the try-out process.

OPA Day – Anyone involved in the OPA DAY planning please see Mrs. Swimm, in the guidance office, ASAP so she can get your email address.

NSSSA – There will be an important meeting for all students planning on attending the NSSSA provincial conference this year in room 332 today at lunch. Please come ready to tell Ms. McCormick how you plan on getting to and from the conference.

NSISP – There will be an important mandatory meeting for NSISP students and ambassadors in room 234 at lunch today.

Boys Softball – There will be tryouts today and Thursday on the field at the school. If weather and bookings permit, there may be tryouts also at Range Park.

Co-op Students – All Mr. Rhymes semester 1 Co-op students are asked to attend an important meeting beginning at lunch in room 223.

CSLC 2015 Spirit Leaders – There will be an important meeting for all CSLC 2015 Spirit Leaders tomorrow at lunch in room 332. Please be ready with your media release forms, billeting forms, and fundraising plans.
