Art Contest: The Yearbook Committee needs a cover for the 2015-2016 CPA yearbook. Think you can design one? Here is the criteria:
- silver background
- cheetah and/or cheetah print
- royal blue and/or black lettering
- formal/professional fonts
- name of school and year
If your design is chosen, YOU get:
- cover proof for your portfolio
- your name on cover
- gift certificates

Junior Achievement – Interested in running your own business? Would you like to make some extra money? Participate in Junior Achievement’s Company Program this year and learn how to create and run your own business! Through participation in this after school program, students are granted a ½ credit towards high school graduation and have access to $40,000 in scholarships. Not to mention the amazing experiences you will have working with your peers and community business professionals! Company Program starts on October 21st at Charles P. Allen High School at 6:30pm and runs weekly from October to March. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to build your resume! SHAD – Deadline to apply November 30th– ARE you an inquisitive, critical thinker with an unquenchable need to explore ideas and possibilities? Shad Valley is just the experience for you. SHAD is hosted at excellent university campuses from coast to coast. The program provides lectures, labs, field work, cultural experiences, and recreation, offered to high school students, by professors, business professionals, practitioners and peers. For more information about the program and how to apply see Mrs. Swimm in guidance. SHAD is a life-changing experience, and looks great on a scholarship application.

Looking for a photographer and videographer: Mr. Leadbeater is looking for a photographer and videographer for a paid assignment connected to the Youth 4 Music event happening October 22nd. Student should have experience and personal gear. Please see Mr. Leadbeater in room 128 if you are interested.
