Course Selection – For all grade 11 students who have a free on A Block – Please come to the guidance office to get your course selection booklet and pink course selection form. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to talk to your guidance counsellor.
YHC: Health Action Team is meeting today at lunch in the YHC (room 209). New members are welcome to join!
JV Girls Soccer Team – We will have an awards pizza party and hand out sweaters at lunchtime next week. See Ms. Joudrey in the gym at lunch today to tell her what day works best for you.
Girls JV Basketball – team please meet in room 340 for a really quick meeting at the start of lunch today!
Lions Quest Speaking Competition: Congratulations to the CPA students participating in the Lions Quest Speak Out last evening. The speeches given by CPA’s students were polished, professional and well delivered. Madeline Biso (topic on Youth Empowerment) finished in third position, Saul Hughes (topic on Internet/Social Media Echo Chamber) in second and Hyunseo Cho (topic on Envy) secured first position. Hyunseo will now move on to a regional speech contest that will take place in Sackville on April 11.
Model UN: The Model UN club will meet on Monday to begin a new topic by stepping back in time to try to diplomatically resolve the Second Punic War. If you have wanted to come out to Model UN, but have been feeling a little intimidated, this would be a perfect time to try out the club as all members will be on the same introductory page. We meet in room 228 after school from 3:30 to 5:00pm.
Girls’ Volleyball – There will be a meeting in room 208 on Monday at lunch.
For all grade 10’s and 11’s – If you did not receive your course selection booklet and course selection form please come to the guidance office to pick them up.
Me to We – On Monday, students from the Me to We group will be coming to visit classes during “C” Block to discuss their Change Drive initiative. Me to We is raising money all week to donate to the IWK and their Mental Health Program. Please fill the envelopes with spare change – all the donations will be collected Friday.
They are also planning a Bake Sale for March 3rd/4th.
Italy Trip meeting for students & Parents: There will be a mandatory Italy trip meeting on Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the cafetorium.
Track and field meeting at lunch on Thursday March 3 in room 235. Everyone interested in trying out should attend.
Grad Photos: The deadline for Grad Photo submissions to Yearbook is March 1st. There are no more opportunities to have them taken at the school, so you must contact a photographer or visit Walmart or the Superstore. If you have had a grad photo taken at school, and even if you did not purchase a photo package, that photo will be sent to me directly.
Please be respectful of the March 1st deadline as to avoid disappointment. Your photo will not appear in the yearbook if you do not submit a photo on or before March 1st. Submissions to be sent to Ms. Payne at firstname.lastname@example.org
Grad Write Ups: Pink forms for Grad Write Ups will be distributed AGAIN second semester. DO NOT PANIC if you have not submitted a write up yet. See Ms. Payne for forms and submissions.
Important Note – Any grad who has submitted their message in code needs to submit another write up. We will not be printing encoded write ups.
