ANNOUNCEMENTS Tuesday, March 1, 2016

Starting today at lunch, Leadership 12 student Kiana Forsyth will be selling toques in the Student Exchange for $20.00 to support Friends of Gilda’s.  This non-profit cancer charity raises money to provide teddy bears to children affected by cancer.  Everyone who purchases a toque will receive a free cupcake!

Popcorn and tea sales will take place today and Wednesday at lunch for ENT 12 class.

There is a meeting in room 108 for those students interested in becoming Peer Tutors.

Badminton – There are no tryouts today. The last two tryouts are Thursday 5:15-6:30 and Friday 3:30 – 5:00.

CPA TABLE TENNIS TEAM TRYOUTS: INTERMEDIATE & SENIOR GIRLS & BOYS – There will be 2 tryout days for all girls and boys interested in being on the CPA Table Tennis Team. Plan to attend BOTH tryouts as games will be recorded in a round-robin-type format. All are welcome.

For INTERMEDIATE (Gr10), these will take place THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY after school from 3:30-5pm.  For SENIOR (Gr11/12), these will take place NEXT MONDAY & TUESDAY, March 7&8th after school from 3:30-5pm.

Track and field meeting at lunch on Thursday in room 235. Everyone interested in trying out should attend.

Any grade 12’s interested in designing grad sweaters can pick up a form at the Cheetah Spot today at lunch. All completed forms need to be brought back to the Cheetah Spot by Tuesday March 8th. After the designs have been submitted there will be the opportunity to vote for your favourite.

Volunteer opportunity: Social Support Group for Youth 16-19 with mental illness Youth Junior Leader. Yes that’s a mouthful but an excellent opportunity for any youth who would like to be involved in the development and running of the pilot project for a 6-9 month period starting March 2016. The pilot project will consist of a monthly social support group for youth ages 16-19 with mental health disorders (anxiety, depression, schizophrenia/psychosis or bipolar disorder) located in the Sackville area.
