CHANGE OF DATE FOR GRAD ASSEMBLY: We will have a Grad Breakfast Assembly for grade 12 students now taking place on April 12 first period in the cafetorium. Tickets will be distributed to students the day before in their D Block class. Students who have a free D Block can pick up their breakfast ticket from Ms. Lowe in Guidance (Room 242). You will need this ticket to get your free hot breakfast and win prizes (a free prom ticket is up for grabs). Please proceed to the cafetorium to get your breakfast and get seated as soon as you arrive in the morning as the line-up will be long and our assembly will be getting started promptly at 9:20am.
Any boy who is interested in trying out for the CPA Box Lacrosse Team should fill out the sign up sheet posted outside LS238. Dates for try-outs will be announced ASAP.
Any grade 12 students interested in performing the song at graduation must sign up for an audition on the sheet outside the music and drama rooms. Auditions will be at lunch April 11th by performing one song to a panel of teacher judges.
The first boys’ lacrosse try-out is today from 3:30–5:30 in the CPA gym. The sign up sheet is outside LS 238.
Girl’s Rugby: There will be a team meeting today at lunch in room 241 to discuss fees and forms. Bring your lunch and hang out!
Attention all Vimy 2017 travellers: Tonight in room 231 , there will be a parents’ meeting for everyone signed up or wanting to sign up to travel for centennial celebrations in April, 2017 to Vimy Ridge.
Girls’ lacrosse practice/tryouts will be April 11 at 5:00, April 12 at 5:30 and April 18th at 5:30. Full gear is required. The tournament will run from April 19 to April 24. Times to be announced. If you are interested and haven’t seen Mr. Thornton already, please do so in room 320.
Legion Leadership Training Camp – The purpose of the Camp is to offer you an opportunity to develop leadership skills. Elements of art, drama, athletic skills, music and dance are used to allow the individual to develop public speaking and communication skills; to learn motivational skills; to be able to organize groups to conduct a specific task or pursue a course of action for the benefit of the group. The program is designed to give young people the ability to gain insight into their own abilities and develop skills which will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The ultimate goal of the Camp is that you will make a potential difference in any team and/or organization in which you are involved in your school, church or community. See Mrs. Swimm in guidance for the information booklet,eligibility, and application form. Applications are due by April 23rd.
