ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, April 21, 2016

Grade 12s and grade 11s please note that over the next week a number (2) of representatives of universities outside of Canada will be at our school to talk to students.  This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the intricacies of applying to foreign countries.  The University of Warwick will be in the quiet room of the library at 2:30 on Friday.  On Monday NYU (New York University) will be in the library at 8:30 am

Grade 12 students are reminded to check the updated scholarship list posted outside of student services.

Girls’ Rugby:  There will be a quick meeting in 241 today at the beginning of lunch.  You will need to pick up a jersey. Make sure you bring your fees (if you haven’t yet).  Early dismissal will be at 2:45 for those going to the game.

The Cheetah Perspective: There will be a meeting for the school newspaper today at lunch in Rm #240.

Girls Softball Tryout – The first tryout is today from 3:35 – 4:45 in the Gym.

Interested in improving your speed, agility & conditioning? All students welcome – starts Friday at 7am on the field. After that it will run every Tuesday and Friday morning.

Legion Leadership Training Camp – The purpose of the Camp is to offer you an opportunity to develop leadership skills. Elements of art, drama, athletic skills, music and dance are used to allow the individual to develop public speaking and communication skills; to learn motivational skills; to be able to organize groups to conduct a specific task or pursue a course of action for the benefit of the group. The program is designed to give young people the ability to gain insight into their own abilities and develop skills which will benefit them for the rest of their lives. The ultimate goal of the Camp is that you will make a potential difference in any team and/or organization in which you are involved in your school, church or community. See Mrs. Swimm in guidance for the information booklet, eligibility, and application form.  Applications are due by April 23rd.
