The Believe in Hope Jewelry will be sold in the student exchange area all week at lunch and after school.  All pieces are $20.   Please come and support a great cause for mental health.

Any girls interested in running in the Blue Nose with the girls run club please meet in 108 Thursday at 3:30 or see Joudrey this week if you can’t make it on Thursday.

Girls softball practice today at lunch in the gym and after school on the field. See Ms. Joudrey if you cannot make it. Forms and fees are due.

The boys’ box lacrosse team must return their jerseys to Mr. Milligan ASAP. No jerseys=no pizza!

Boys’ Softball – There will be a tryout at Range field today at 4:00 pm for those interested in the Boys Softball team. Only those players that attended last Tuesday/Thursday tryouts are invited.

Interested in some non-internet related fun?  Then it is time to put down your phones, and play some board games (not just the ones your parents play).  You might also make some new friends! Please join us this Friday in Room 305 during lunch. This is the first meeting – so please do not be shy.  Questions or can’t make it please see Mr. Jennings in guidance.

Prom – There will be a meeting in room 108 at 12:00 – lunchtime on Friday for anyone interested in being a part of the prom committee.

The Valedictorian Selection Committee is looking for volunteers to select potential Class of 2016 Valedictorians.  It requires that you stay after school until about 5:00 PM on Tuesday May 17 to judge the try-out speeches.   The committee needs seven potential graduates and five teachers.  If you are interested e-mail Mr. Milligan. Co-op Education Forms: Potential co-op students must pass in their forms to Mr. Rhymes this week in room 223 or room 231.

TECH CLUB: Additional Microsoft Hololens demonstrations are scheduled at lunch on Wednesday in computer lab 224. If you did not get an opportunity to try out this cool device last week, add your name to the sign-up sheet on the cement column outside lab 224. Teachers demonstrations will take place in the staffroom after lunch.

This week the CPA Jack.Org chapter is holding events every day to raise awareness for Mental Health and Illness. Get excited to dress up, join in on great activities and learn in workshops!

Thursday: MUSIC DAY Rock your favorite band shirt and come to the stage at lunch for a free coffeehouse.

Friday: SPORTS DAY – Show us your spirit in your best sports jersey and come up to the gym at lunch for some bubble soccer action!

*JACK.ORG SHOELACES will be on sale each day of the week at lunch by the Cheetah Spot. Upon buying your shoelaces you will be signed up on a first-come, first-serve basis for bubble soccer, so get ‘em fast!

Interested in being a CPA Ambassador? – We are looking for students who would be interested in being an ambassador for our international students.  The primary role of the student ambassador is to help international students integrate into their school and community after they arrive in Nova Scotia. The ambassador works with administration and the international student staff liaison within their school to create a more internationalized and welcoming environment. Anyone interested please come and see Mrs. Swimm in guidance. You may have an opportunity to attend a training camp in the summer to prepare for the role.
