Important Bus Route Changes! Please check the updated bus route schedule posted on the bulletin board beside the main office!
Leadership 12 is going to be selling Valentine’s-grams on Wednesday, Feb. 8th – Friday, Feb. 10th at lunch. Roses will be $2.00 and heart-shaped suckers will be 25¢. Students need to know the name and A-block class of the student they wish to send the Valentine’s gram to.
Also, we are having a spirit day on Tuesday, Feb. 14 – Students are encouraged to wear red or pink in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Grad Photos – Don’t miss out! Grad photos will be taken here on February 13 – 16. Sign up for an appointment time at http://calnenphotography.setmore.com/ . Sitting fee is $15 but will be waived if you don’t wish to purchase a package.
GRADS 2017 SCHOLARSHIP INFO – scholarship deadlines are posted on the bulletin board outside the guidance office. Please check the scholarship booklet http://www.cpa.ednet.ns.ca/guidance/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/SCHOLARSHIP-BOOKLET-2016-2017.pdf which can be found on the CPA Guidance website. The details regarding value, eligibility, deadlines, etc. for ALL of the scholarships, listed on the bulletin board, can be found there. Check it out!!!
Any students interested in applying for the Western National Scholarship there is a sign-up sheet outside the guidance office. You must be planning to attend Western University. You will have until 3:30 on Wednesday February 8th to sign up. 4 students will be chosen. Criteria:
- Superior academic ability – over 90% average
- Creative and original thinking
- Proven leadership qualities
- Canadian Citizens or Permanent Resident of Canada
- National Scholarships are available only at Western’s main campus and Faculty Entrance Scholarships are available only within the faculty for which the scholarship has been awarded.
- You must make an admission application to Western University (main campus) to be considered for these scholarships and you must register as a full-time student.
Two Depot Youth Camps will be held at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan during the weeks of August 7th and August 14th, 2017. Thirty‐two students from across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Nova Scotia will be selected to attend each of these camps. To be eligible to apply, students must be of First Nations, Métis or Inuit descent and be between sixteen to nineteen years of age.
