All students who submitted a Valedictorian nomination form must attend a brief information meeting on Friday at lunch in the 3rd floor conference room.
NSSSA – There will be an important brief meeting for all students attending the NSSSA provincial conference Wednesday at lunch in room 326.
YOUTH HEALTH CENTRE: Jenn is back from maternity leave and the YHC is open for business. Stop in to say hi, reconnect or even to join GSA! Room 209, across from the gym.
Track and field meeting at lunch on Thursday in 108.
Sugar scrubs will be sold on Friday at lunch in the student exchange for $5 each or $8 for 2. We only accept cash and all proceeds will go to the IWK.
Co-Op – All students who have selected Co-op 11 or Co-op 12 for next year must check the interview schedule to see when your interview will take place. The interview schedule is located outside Lab 223 and on the Library glass. Please check the schedule to see the date and time of your interview. Please be on time for your interviews. All interviews will take place in the 3rd Floor Conference Room (Room 301) If you have any questions please contact Mr. Rhymes.
SCHOLARSHIPS – Information regarding the following scholarships can be found on the bulletin board outside the guidance office. Please check often.
Gregory P. Pentz Memorial Scholarship – Greg Pentz played soccer for many years as a youth, and refereed when he was no longer able to play. This scholarship is in memory of Greg and his contribution to soccer, and to raise awareness in other players of the need to become involved in other capacities. Four $500 awards for students within the boundaries of the Suburban District and its member clubs. Criteria:
1. Must be in your last year of High School and have been accepted into a post-secondary institution (university, college, technical school, trade school, etc) in a program leading to a degree/diploma.
2. For the last 3 years, either:
a) Played for a Suburban District club(s).
b) Was a coach or assistant coach for a Suburban District club(s) in seasons, when you did not play.
c) Was a referee within the Suburban District in seasons when you did not play.

B.Davis Scholarship – deadline is May 22 / AWARD VALUE: $1,000
This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post-secondary institution.
• There is no age restriction
• Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
• This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.
