Yearbook quotes for grade 12s (only) can be emailed to cpayearbook16.17@gmail.com. The cap is 140 characters. Deadline is Monday, May 22nd. Any quotes submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Hey CPA! We are proud to present our very own Asian Heritage Month festivities throughout the week of May 23-26th. We are excited to invite anyone and everyone to our hands-on workshops, exciting events, and creative activities originating from various parts of Asia. Activities range from martial arts demonstrations to sushi hand roll workshops, and many, many more. Keep an eye out for the posters, and visit the CPA website to register for certain activities. Thank you!
Food Drive in support of the Parker Street Food Bank: May 17th to 26th! Bring in any food or cash donations to support your favorite CPA Team the Bullet Bills vs. the Cheetahs to the cafeteria or room 108.
Support “Believe in Hope” IWK Adolescent Mental Health Trust Fund in memory of Alexis Fletcher. Come and buy a $2/ ticket outside room 108 starting today for a chance to win a $50 Cleve’s Sporting Goods gift card and many other prizes!! On May 24th at lunch you will get 10 chances to shoot the b.ball to spell the word HOPE. Donations are also accepted if you are not feeling shooting hoops! Prizes will be drawn in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 25th at lunch for those who have donated to the cause.

Multiple Opportunities – We will be running Multiple Opportunities from Tuesday, June 6th – Thursday June 8th. Assessments will be written in the cafeteria. Please speak with your teachers about the assessment(s) you wish to write prior to May 30th. Keep in mind that the mark you earn on the Multiple Opportunity assessment is the mark that will be entered in Power School.

If students are registered in multiple science classes, they may have to choose just one assessment per class to write.
SCHOLARSHIPS – Information regarding the following scholarships can be found on the bulletin board outside the guidance office. Please check often.

Gregory P. Pentz Memorial Scholarship – Greg Pentz played soccer for many years as a youth, and refereed when he was no longer able to play. This scholarship is in memory of Greg and his contribution to soccer, and to raise awareness in other players of the need to become involved in other capacities. Four $500 awards for students within the boundaries of the Suburban District and its member clubs. Criteria:
1. Must be in your last year of High School and have been accepted into a post-secondary institution (university, college, technical school, trade school, etc) in a program leading to a degree/diploma.
2. For the last 3 years, either:
a) Played for a Suburban District club(s).
b) Was a coach or assistant coach for a Suburban District club(s) in seasons, when you did not play.
c) Was a referee within the Suburban District in seasons when you did not play.
Please see Mrs. Swimm in guidance for an application form. Applications much reach the address provided on the application before May 31st.
B.Davis Scholarship – deadline is May 22 / AWARD VALUE: $1,000
This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post-secondary institution.

• There is no age restriction
• Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
• This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.
Application Procedure – To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic below:
