If you are interested in being a member of the Charles P. Allen SAC (School Advisory Committee), please leave your name at the main office.

International Food Fair: Thank you to all of the students who prepared the food and for all of you that participated in the event. The hours of work cooking and cleaning was a great testament to our multicultural community coming together to celebrate. The event raised over $500.00 which will be donated to the Nova Scotia Food Bank.

If you did not yet get your picture taken or require a retake, the photographer will be here on Wednesday.

Students who have paid student fees may pick up their student IDs in the Library.

Students who ordered a 2016-2017 yearbook and have not yet received a copy can also pick theirs up in the Library.

Any student who wishes to be nominated for the LORAN Scholarship is asked to submit his or her biographical essay to guidance by October 10th. For more information, please see your guidance counsellor.

All aboriginal students are welcome to come for lunch in room 233 today.

Girls Run Club – All girls welcome to join us on Mondays after school. No cost to join us. No experience needed. We meet in 207 with Mrs. Joudrey and run and walk from 3:30-4:15.

Peer Tutoring: The Peer Tutoring lunch time drop in will begin today at lunch and will continue every day during the week. If you are needing help understanding topics or questions covered in class, drop by room 302 at lunch to get some help and support. There will be a schedule posted on the website and on the door of room 302. Today, there will be tutors available for Math, Physics, French, History and General Sciences.

Model UN: The Model UN club will meet today after school in room 302. Today we will begin to craft working papers in preparation for general debates on how to provide basic human rights to women in conflict zones.

Russia 2018: There will be a mandatory meeting for everyone signed up to travel to Russia on Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in room 231. The traveling company organizing the Russia trip is offering promotional payment plan. Everyone still willing to discuss the trip, please see Ms. Smith in room 231.

Public Speaking Club: The Public Speaking Club will meet on Thursday at lunch in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor. If you are interested in developing skills to help your presentation skills, drop by for our first session.
