Attention Students who travel on bus 147 in the morning: There is a route change effective Friday. Please check out the changes on our website.

Students who have paid student fees may pick up their student IDs in the Library.

Students who ordered a 2016-2017 yearbook and have not yet received a copy can also pick theirs up in the Library.

Attention Gr. 10’s from MSMS: If you ordered a yearbook last year from MSMS, they will be here & available for pick up today at lunch ONLY from the Cheetah Barn.

Health Action Team meeting today at lunch in the YHC (room 209).

Me to We: There will be a meeting for any of the students who are interested in ME to We at lunch today in room 325.

Public Speaking Club: The Public Speaking Club will meet on today at lunch in the Conference Room on the 3rd floor. If you are interested in developing your presentation skills, drop by for our first session.

Peer Tutoring: The Peer Tutoring lunch time sessions are up and running. This is a drop in program where there are tutors ready to help you every lunch hour. If you need academic support, the Peer Tutors will be in room 302.

Girl Run Club – Any girls who want to come out for a run or walk meet in 207 after school every Tuesday. We usually finish up by 4:15. No experience needed, just wear sneakers and clothes to run outside in. No cost and no sign up, just show up after school ready to go!

Interested in playing disc? CPA’s Ultimate practices have started. We meet before school every Wednesday at 7:30 in the gym for skills and scrimmage. Lots of experience, some experience, you just want to run and throw a disc? All are welcome. Please wear something you can run in and gym appropriate shoes.

Any student who wishes to be nominated for the LORAN Scholarship is asked to submit his or her biographical essay to guidance by October 10th. For more information, please see your guidance counsellor.

The Horatio Alger Association of Canada provides $650,000 annually in need-based scholarship support for deserving students in all Canadian provinces and territories. Scholarships of up to $10,000 are awarded to full-time students in their terminal year of high school with financial need (family income under $65,000) who have demonstrated integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, a commitment to pursue a post-secondary education, a desire to contribute to society, and a good academic record.
