Graduation Important Information and Dates

Grad Fees ($50) and Application to Graduate—Grad form was due on May 1st.

Grad Rehearsal and Gown Pick-up Wednesday, June 28 at 11:11am—All graduates must be present to pick up their graduation gowns. Students can keep their gowns as a souvenir. The final list of graduates for the class of 2017 will be posted on the bulletin board beside the main office on this day. Students must have all of textbooks and uniforms returned as well as have paid the $50 graduation fee in order to receive your grad gown.

Graduation Day Thursday, June 29 at 1:30pm—All graduates must arrive at the Halifax Forum, Bingo Room at 1:00pm to begin the lineup. Graduates and parents/guardians can bring as many family members/guests as they like—there are no tickets required.

Scholarships—All scholarship offers (not just accepted ones) can be published in the graduation program. Please have photocopies of scholarship offers handed in to Ms. Lowe in guidance no later than June 16.

Please note: Graduation fees are $50 if attending and $10 if not attending. If you are not planning to attend the graduation ceremony and have paid your $10 fee, you can pick up your graduation package (containing diploma, 3 transcripts and other certificates) on Friday, June 30 by 11:00am. The school will be closed for the summer after this, so you will not be able to get your graduation package until September.

Multiple Opportunities Testing

We will be running Multiple Opportunities testing from Tuesday, June 6th – Thursday June 8th. Assessments will be written in the cafeteria. Please speak with your teachers about the assessment(s) you wish to write prior to May 30th. Keep in mind that the mark you earn on the Multiple Opportunity assessment is the mark that will be entered in Power School. Click here for the testing schedule.

Exam Exemption Eligibility as of May 11

The exam exemption eligibility list as of May 11 is now posted on the bulletin board beside the main office as well as here by student number.
If you happened to be absent on May 11 and had not yet been excused during the time this report was generated from PowerSchool, you may not be on this list. This does not mean you are not eligible. Check your PowerSchool or check with Ms. Lowe in Room 242 if unsure.
