The Boys B Basketball Team remains undefeated after an exciting win last night over Sommet. In a close scoring game, CPA managed to pull out the victory with a final score of 84 to 73. Leading the way in scoring for the Cheetahs were Grant Kuehm with 20 points and Brett Liem with 16 points. The boys will look to extend their streak tonight in what will be a difficult match-up against Citadel. Game time is 6pm at their gym, so come out and help cheer on the team to victory if you are able.
African Heritage Committee – will meet today at lunch in room 202. All are welcome. We need to go over details of the assembly.

Attention Potential Grads – Students interested in attending the Cape Breton University will be able to talk to a representative Friday at lunch in the student exchange area.
Any students interested in writing the SAT and/or the ACT exams for admission to American universities, please note that there will be an information session this afternoon. Contact Mr. Jennings in Guidance for more information.
Prom Committee – will meet today in room 341 at the beginning of lunch. New members welcome.
Newspaper Meeting – There will be a newspaper meeting on Thursday at lunch in room #240.
Europe Trip 2016 Parent Meeting – There will be an important parent meeting tonight beginning at 7 pm in room 132 to discuss details of the Europe 2016 Trip to Italy. All student travellers are encouraged to relay this information to their parents!
The Exam Exemption eligibility list based on attendance as of January 9th has now been posted on the bulletin board by the microwaves in the cafeteria as well as by student number on the website. Students who think they should qualify for an exemption to date but are not on the list need to verify their attendance by checking PowerSchool.
Exemption Timeline: Exemption forms for eligible students will be handed out during A Block on Monday, January 19th. If you have a free, please see Ms. Lowe in Guidance (rm. 242) for your form.
Step 1: Forms must be signed by each of your teachers Step 2: You must have your parent/guardian sign your exemption form Step 3: Make sure you circle which course you want to exempt and make sure you put your name on the form Step 4: Drop your exemption form into the Guidance Office (rm. 242) NO LATER than Tuesday, January 20th at 3:30pm
You must still maintain your attendance as you can still lose your exemption. The final list will be posted on the bulletin board in the cafeteria as well as by student number on the website by 3:30 pm Thursday, January 22.
