Root beer fest meeting in room 108 today at lunch. It is mandatory for all interested in performing.

LOVE WEEK – Next week is CPA’s annual Love Week! We’ll be having Valentine’s Day (or Anti-Valentine’s Day) theme days, activities at lunch and lots of treats! Check out @cpacheetahs on Twitter for more information and check out the posters that will be up around the school tomorrow!

ACTS FOR AIDS tickets will be sold for $7 and all proceeds will support the Stephen Lewis foundation. Acts for Aids is taking place Tuesday, February 9 @ Sir John A from 7-10pm. Come out to support Mitchell Hearn, who will be representing CPA at the event!

Tickets for CPA’s SEMI FORMAL DANCE can be picked up from the Cheetah Spot or from any member of council for $10. Semi is happening Thursday, February 11 from 6-9 and tickets include free photos and free food! All tickets sold for the previously scheduled date will still be valid at the door.

Need access to a computer at lunch? Room 224 is open every day for student use!

 As second semester begins, CPA Peer Tutoring program is looking for tutors! We are looking for students who would be able to tutor primarily in Math, Science and second language courses. There will be a mandatory meeting Friday at lunch in room 132 for all students who signed up to be peer tutors at the Clubs fair in September, and for any newly interested tutors. Anyone who needs a tutor for a class this semester can request one by e-mailing cpapeertutoring@gmail.com

Model UN: Students who have their Model UN forms for JPHMUN are reminded to submit the form tomorrow with the participation cheque to Mr. Hall in room 230 during lunch. We will be registering tomorrow in order to meet the early bird deadline so you will need to be in room 230 at lunch to register. Check the website tonight to have an idea of which committees best suit your interests.

Grad Photos:  The deadline for Grad Photo submissions to Yearbook is March 1st.  There are no more opportunities to have them taken at the school, so you must contact a photographer or visit Walmart or the Superstore.  If you have had a grad photo taken at school, and even if you did not purchase a photo package, that photo will be sent to me directly.

Please be respectful of the March 1st deadline as to avoid disappointment.  Your photo will not appear in the yearbook if you do not submit a photo on or before March 1st.  Submissions to be sent to Ms. Payne at jpayne@hrsb.ns.ca

Grad Write Ups:  Pink forms for Grad Write Ups will be distributed AGAIN second semester.  DO NOT PANIC if you have not submitted a write up yet.  See Ms. Payne for forms and submissions.

Canadian Computing Contest: Anyone interested in participating in Waterloo’s Canadian Computing Contest is to go directly to room 203 right now!  At lunch today!

The Cheetah Perspective: There will be a meeting for the school newspaper today at lunch in room 240.

Coop Education: All students interested in coop for next year must submit 1) an application form 2) community reference form and 3) teacher reference form by February 16th to Mr. Rhymes.

Girls Rugby – Tryouts Feb. 4 8:30-10. Feb. 5 5-6:30. All welcome!

Boys Rugby – Tryouts Feb. 5 from 7AM-9AM. All welcome!

Snowboarding Team – any student interested in trying out for the snowboarding team is invited to a meeting at lunch on Monday in room 202.  Bring a smile!
