Lost & Found – Please check the lost & found for missing items – first floor beside the stairs. Unclaimed items will be removed this Friday!

The Cheetah Perspective: There will be a meeting for the school newspaper today at lunch in Rm #240.

Me to We – Me to We is raising money all week to donate to the IWK and their Mental Health Program. Please fill the envelopes with spare change – all the donations will be collected Friday.

They are also planning a Bake Sale for March 3rd/4th.

Attention Grade 12s: The updated scholarship list has been posted on the bulletin board outside of student services. If you have any questions about these please touch base with guidance. Just a reminder that most university applications are due March 1st.   It will only take 10 minutes of your time so don’t miss out!

French Speaking Competition – There will be a meeting in room 207 at lunch today for all those interested in competing in this year’s French Speaking Competition.  Prizes include trips and scholarships​ for french post-secondary education.​

Badminton – tryouts this week Friday 8:30-10pm. There is also an open gym in HRSB gym on Tuesday and Thursday after school where you can play badminton (these times are NOT tryout times)

Track and field meeting at lunch on Thursday March 3 in room 235. Everyone interested in trying out should attend.

Grad Photos:  The deadline for Grad Photo submissions to Yearbook is March 1st.  There are no more opportunities to have them taken at the school, so you must contact a photographer or visit Walmart or the Superstore.  If you have had a grad photo taken at school, and even if you did not purchase a photo package, that photo will be sent to me directly.

Please be respectful of the March 1st deadline as to avoid disappointment.  Your photo will not appear in the yearbook if you do not submit a photo on or before March 1st.  Submissions to be sent to Ms. Payne at jpayne@hrsb.ns.ca

Grad Write Ups:  Pink forms for Grad Write Ups will be distributed AGAIN second semester.  DO NOT PANIC if you have not submitted a write up yet.  See Ms. Payne for forms and submissions.

Important Note – Any grad who has submitted their message in code needs to submit another write up.  We will not be printing encoded write ups.

Chebucto Connections/Pathways to Education Spryfield is hosting a Prom Dress Event on Saturday, February 27th from 1:00-3:00pm at our office (531 Herring Cove Road). This is our third year running the event and it is open to all students. We have over 150 formal dresses (in varying sizes, lengths, and colours) and a limited number of suits available. All items are $10, with many of the dresses being brand new or gently used. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (902) 477-0964.

Volunteer opportunity: Social Support Group for Youth 16-19 with mental illness Youth Junior Leader. Yes that’s a mouthful but an excellent opportunity for any youth who would like to be involved in the development and running of the pilot project for a 6-9 month period starting March 2016. The pilot project will consist of a monthly social support group for youth ages 16-19 with mental health disorders (anxiety, depression, schizophrenia/psychosis or bipolar disorder) located in the Sackville area.
